IDLE is a simple Python IDE.

## User Interface
Using IDLE, you can edit, run, browse, and [[Debugging Python programs|debug Python]] programs.

- Run scripts by selecting Run->Run Module, not by interactive imports and reloads.
- Don't be a moron

## Alternatives
[[Eclipse]] and [[PyDev]] are more advanced IDEs, but they're harder to get down to a science.
