A **plane curve** is a set of points $\LARGE (f(t),g(t))$, where $\LARGE f$ and $\LARGE g$ are [[Числовая функция|functions]] defined on some interval.

The equations $\LARGE x=f(t)$, $\LARGE y=g(t)$ are **parametric equations** for the curve, with **parameter** t.
