## Usage
- We use used to but not [[Will and would#^c28555|would]] to talk about repeated actions in the past particularly about *past states* that have changed:
	> The factory used to be in the city centre
### Note:
We can use both would and used to talk about repeated happenings in the past:
> We would / used to lend him money when he was unemployed

- In formal spoken and written English the following negative and question forms are also used, although rarely:
	> There used not to..
	> Used you to..?
