To see the Galaxy map, press **E**. ## Structures ### The Starbase Starbases can serve as **ship factories**, **defensive** structures and **trade route** centers. **Z** key is for the starbase's characteristics, **X** is for defensive systems, **C**is for shipyard (Available after the "Shipyard" **Module** was built). ## Star Systems ### Exploring and surveying To survey a neightboring star system, you must select a **Science Ship**, available in the **Outliner**. In its interface, click on the **Survey button** and select a non-surveyed system with a hyperlane connection to your system. To claim a star system, you must build a **Star Base** using a **Construction Ship** ### Restricting access To mark a system to be avoided by the ships, press the **"System Restricted"** button in its bottom title ### Colonising To establish a colony, you must build a Colony Ship in a Starbase, then send it to a habitable world. ## Leaders ### Scientist A scientist is required to operate a **Science Ship**. To assign a scientist, select a science ship, click the **Assign Leader** box. The **Leaders** tab will open, where you can assign a scientist or recruit one. Recruitment costs **Unity** points. ## Ship Design To go into the **Ship Designer**, press **F9** ## Planets Planets have **Planetary Features** that impact the amount of **Districts** you could build. Some features are **blockers** - they decrease the amount of Districts. To remove them, press the **Clear Blocker**button. ## Traditions The traditions screen is available by pressing **F8**. A **Tradition tree** must be adopted before a tradition could be implemented. Traditions impact the player's society, military and economy. Adopting a tradition costs **Unity** points.
